The Apprentice
Yes, you will be doing busy work. This is true for many reasons. First, we must have an accurate asessment of your abilities so we do not give you projects you cannot handle. Two,it is a real service to the company. Three, it is the best way to learn and to add professional level production skills at professional speed. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the work. If not, you might need to reassess your goals.

You are supposed to be sharing these ideas in your daily email communications. Proposals are welcomed at any time.
Monthly projects
- The easiest are gifts sold through our Zazzle On-Demand Gift store: Once the design is approved, you will be responsible to upload the art and set up the product line for that piece of art. You receive 25% of the royalties Received to start.
- There is a list of small publishing projects for Radiqx: These will have supplied copy and some of the graphics. You will design the product. Once the artwork is approved in writing, you will be responsible to upload the project and send out the publicity releases. You receive 25% of the royalties Received to start.
- You are encouraged to make proposals: if we have to supply copy and some of the graphics. You will design the product. Once the artwork is approved, you will be responsible to upload the project and send out the publicity releases. You receive 25% of the royalties Received to start. If you write and design everything, you will receive 50% of the royalties.

There are four levels to this relationship
- Postulant
- Novice
- Apprentice
- Artisan
Now you're ready to work!
The Apprentice
An apprenticeship is two years minimum. Normal completion times are probably closer to three or four years. This is a time of intensive growth and skill development. By the end of your apprenticeship you will be producing professional work unsupervised.
But you will be earning your keep to offset that cost and will be paid any overages. Any royalties or fees earned by your work be paid within 30 days of receipt by Radiqx Press.
- Required Monthly Projects: There will be an ongoing list of potential projects. You are required to complete one of these a month. see the offical handbook for details.
- Research Projects & Marketing Assignments: if you accept the assignment, there will be deadlines.
- Personal Projects: Any personal projects completed and approved during your apprenticeship will have your name attached and you will receive a portion of the royalties earned. see the offical handbook for details.
- Company Ownership: All work done during your apprenticeship becomes the property of Bergsland Typography. You will have a contract listing your contributions and your royalties. . see the offical handbook for details.
- Final project: You will have a major final project to complete to earn your Artisan Certificate. Think of this as a practical version of a dissertation. You will earn your status as a certified professional. This work will be owned by you with a contract signed to pay the company a percentage of your royalties from the work. . see the offical handbook for details.
At this point, you will receive your certification as a practicing professional in your field. You will have no more obligations to the company and are free to pursue your career. Our hope is that you will affiliate with the company as a member of our Artisan Guild, but that is completely voluntary on your part.
