The Apprentice Structure

Radiqx Academy is not an academic institution. It is a Christian sanctuary where you learn and practice your craft in peace & security. Our course of study has four levels of knowledge and involvement. You will need to understand these concepts before we can move into a closer relationship:

You need to understand this up front.

Our lives are focused on the spiritual. If this bothers you, our potential relationship will probably not work. We cannot afford to deal with antagonists within our midst.

The relationship between workman &
novice or apprentice is very close

This is not a typical school experience. We are looking to build a long-term relationship. Our hope is that an apprentice will grow into an on-going professional relationship with the company. The eventual goal is a group of people with the same goals producing truly innovative, excellent work— which we call the Radiqx Artisan Guild.

What this means is that the screening process is, of necessity, much more important than a simple hiring procedure. We and you need to come to a place of commitment to each other’s growth and well-being. If you are not committed to the growth of the company, we cannot be committed to making you a professional compatriot in our endeavor.

No, we are not asking for a life-long commitment.

We are asking for a commitment of up to five years to reach the level of professionalism needed to make it in our present day world. Once you reach the level of journeyman (which we are calling Artisan to avoid all that presently necessary his/her language), our assumption is that you will be excited about the possibility of pushing on to reach the Skilled Workman level yourself and start your own foundry &/or publishing house. Of course, by that time we are also hoping to have a continuing relationship between you and the company.

In this process, it is necessary for both our protection and for yours, that the first two levels of the program be fee-based — able to be cancelled without notice. We fully understand that this type of growth opportunity will only appeal to specific people. We all need to determine carefully if you are one of those people.

There are four levels to this relationship

  1. Postulant
  2. Novice
  3. Apprentice
  4. Artisan

You start here: The Postulant

We use this term for the registration process enabling you to be accepted as a Novice. As a novice you will be doing several things all leading to a major decision to commit yourself in writing to entering the apprenticeship program with all its duties and expectations.

We are also making a major long-term commitment to you and your training. The following is the start of your process toward apprenticeship.

There is no guarantee
that you will be accepted.

We must be sure that you understand what you are getting into and that you are committed to the process. As soon as these things are taken care of, and you are chosen by the Selection Committee, you are admitted as a novice.
