We provide “Free” publishing design services for teachers, authors, & ministries serving Jesus

As many of you know, there are Websites who do what is called on-demand printing for free. You upload your files in an acceptable size and format. They collect the money for you and produce the pieces as they are ordered. They do not charge you anything. The manufacturing costs are paid by the purchaser of the book.

These services take a portion of any royalties that you set up when you upload your book, booklet, calendar, or whatever you need to get printed. We use three companies for this type of publishing & have had no problems that we know about for several years now.

There are some issues for many authors

You often do your book designs with Office

This produces results that are obviously non-professional, because Office cannot produce excellence in typography or page layout. Plus, Office does not support the necessities of high resolution or CMYK color.

The only thing you need to understand is that publishing a book for you involves several thousand dollars worth of work. The only way we can get any of this covers is by keeping control of the artwork until it is paid for. This means several practical things you need to be aware of.

• We will publish your work in every way possible— modifying it to meet the needs of the various publishers, distributors, and media requirements.
• You pay for distribution Services, promotional costs, and needed proofs required by the companies. We will design and help you write press releases or promotion literature, but you do the marketing.
• You can buy copies of printed books through us. Bulk discounts are usually available. You get your royalties refunded to you but we still get our portion.
• We collect the royalties and pay you your portion as they are received (always within 30 days, usually the same day received).
• You have veto power over the designs, but they are our designs. We cannot afford to allow you to constantly Make changes and revise designs. They are our designs— produced to make you happy. However, if you want to get involved in the design, you will probably end up paying for the design services. If we cannot come to Agreement, you will pay for the design or we will cancel the contract.
• If you want to take the artwork to a different Printer/Publisher you need to pay for it. The price for the artwork will be listed in our contract before we start work.
• You can cancel the contract at any time, but you do not get the artwork unless you pay for it.
