Yes, it is ridiculously expensive. But that is what the various distributors require for Amazon to carry it.

A note from the author/editor

One of my main motivations for this book came in:

" a college course I was taking. As a part of his final exam for this course, the professor asked the class to “list five problems the early New Testament churches had.” Here are the answers the professor later told us he was looking for:

  1. The believers had no church buildings; yet met in caves, homes and in open places.
  2. Sunday was not a legal holiday; people had to work [on Sundays]; and thus worship had to take place early in the AM or at night.
  3. The early believers had no worship aids (Bibles, hymn books, tracts).
  4. No denominational organizations existed to furnish the believers with fellowship or general direction of their work.
  5. The early church had no seminary or Bible school-trained trained workers or leaders.

Praise be to God, the New Testament “story” refers to none of the above as “problems” the early church faced. Perhaps our current institutional churches’ “solutions” to these “problems” have produced the real problems many sincere believers in the body of Christ face today.

May the true knowledge of “the story” of what happened” then vs. what’s happening” now encourage and strengthen you as never before to fulfill the “story” He Himself is “writing” through your life in and walk with Him.
