Making Separated PDFs with InDesign

This little booklet is not needed often, but when it is, you'll need the knowledge quickly. This is a simple and easy set of instructions. It assumes that you know how to design with spot color and that you know what separations are. Separations are the artwork for each color you are using in your design. In full-color work, you are producing a Cyan plate, a magenta plate, a yellow plate, and a black plate. These individual plates are usually done by the printer with no input from you. But sometimes you'll have to help theprinter out.
